SYRIZA and NATO: April 2014 Exposec Conference -- and an Update

The American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and SGT are convening for the second consecutive year for the international defense & security conference, EXPOSEC-DEFENSEWORLD to take place April 7 & 8, 2014 at the Hotel Grande Bretagne.

The conference entitled "Defense & Security Policy: Meet the Future Challenges” is to be held under the auspices of the Ministry of National Defense, and remains the point of reference for stakeholders seeking to be informed on the latest developments in, and potential of, Greek defense & security policy issues. Exposec-Defenseworld is taking place at a critical geopolitical juncture, when Greece isexperiencing economic crisis and, at the same time, is called to regain its international credibility, strengthen its defense industry by leveraging existing infrastructure and creating strategic alliances, and ensure necessary governance and orderliness at internal and external security levels.

We strongly believe that constructive dialogue among stakeholders with a vision and willingness to share strategic perspectives for the future can lead to significant progress and recommendations to address pertinent issues of the defense and security sectors. As such, distinguished representatives of the political, military, diplomatic, academic and business community attend the conference and partake in the vibrant open dialogue.

Topics to be discussed at the conference are:

Greece-Cyprus-Israel: Prospects for Cooperation in Defense and Security
Geopolitical Developments & International Cooperation
National Security Policy and Strategic Planning
Cyber Security: Cutting-Edge Technologies and New Threats

Lockheed-Martin was one of the conference sponsors. KKE published a comment here (in Greek).

UPDATE: Unity Militant Movement (PAME) announcement:
"On the 27 of February 2015, two of the vice-directors of the Periphery of Attica, specifically of Piraeus and islands, welcomed to Pireaus 8 NATO warships and wished their directors luck!!!
After the "agreement with the partners" by the SYRIZA-ANEL government on the new Memorandum, after the welcoming of COSCO by Tsipras, now we have 'welcome' to the NATO ships.
The hawks of war, the butchers of peoples, are recognized by the Periphery Directors of SYRIZA as friends and allies!!!
Enough with the "left" of NATO and the EU. As if this is a "left"!!!!
